While I am excited about the next chapter in life that opens in Virginia this weekend, it is very hard to leave a place I’ve grown to love and appreciate over the last 7+ years. Here is a list (in no particular order) of some of things I will miss about Florida.
Sunny days in the 70’s in the winter.
Being able to post about the weather on FB during winter to rub it in.
The awesome team at 91.3 Hope FM! It has been a tremendous privilege to be part such an amazing ministry.
The Beach House Beanery - not only the best coffee around, but a great couple who run a fantastic business and who always showed kindness and love to my kids.
Sunrises over the ocean
The little lizards that are everywhere.
Being able to fish (comfortably) 12 months out of the year.
Driving by the hospital where my children were born.
Not having to rake leaves in the fall.
The many friends and church family that I have come to know during the journey here. I have truly been blessed to know some wonderful people during our time here.
Enjoying fesh vegetables all winter.
I'm sure there are a few others, but these are a few that come to mind! I am grateful to the Lord for the years here and the many blessings my family and I have experienced. Tomorrow I will post on what I will NOT miss about Florida!
This week my family is in the process of moving! We are transitioning from Florida to Virginia where I will be serving as pastor of Reedy Spring Baptist Church in Spout Spring, VA. During these next couple weeks I will not be posting as regularly until we get settled in. I have a few posts planned, and I look forward to getting back to regular posting in the New Year!! Speaking of New Year, now is the time to be thinking about your resolutions, goals, plans, whatever you call them! I'll have a post or two on them towards the end of the month.
